Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy covers the insigtX website and our iOS and Android apps, operated by Marsbetta Technology Limited, registered in Hong Kong.
insigtX is an information and education platform. We do not offer trading, hold assets, or touch user funds, and therefore we do not collect bank account details, card numbers, government ID, or wallet private keys.
What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the service, in three categories.
What you give us
Your email address at sign-up, or a third-party sign-in identifier (Google, Apple, Telegram, wallet address). The assets, institutions or event types you choose to follow. Whatever you write to us in an email.
You can read all published content without an account.
What is collected automatically
Device model, OS version, app version, language setting, IP address and access logs. These are used for troubleshooting, abuse prevention and basic usage statistics.
What we do not collect
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone data, or any other device data unrelated to the service. We do not require identity verification. If you sign in with a wallet, we record the public address only and never request or store private keys or seed phrases.
How we use it
To provide and maintain the service; to send the alerts you have configured; to troubleshoot and prevent abuse; to compile aggregate usage statistics that inform product decisions; and to meet legal obligations where required.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, and we do not use it to target third-party advertising.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses essential cookies and local storage to remember your language choice and sign-in state. Disabling them will break some functionality.
We use aggregate visit statistics to understand how pages are used; these are not used to identify individuals. You can clear or block this storage through your browser settings.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We disclose information to third parties only in these situations: transferring necessary data to our cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) so that storage and services can run; complying with a legal or lawful judicial requirement; and transferring data as a necessary part of a merger or asset sale, in which case we will notify you in advance.
These cloud providers act solely as data processors, handling data on our instructions and not for their own purposes.
Security and retention
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Internal access follows the principle of least privilege, and only authorised personnel can reach user data.
Account information is kept while you use the service. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your account information and follow settings within 30 days. Access logs are kept for a maximum of 12 months. Data we are legally required to retain is kept for the period the law specifies.
Data is stored in our cloud providers' overseas data centres. As the operating entity is registered in Hong Kong, our processing is subject to the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
No system is perfectly secure. If an incident affects your personal information, we will notify you at your registered email address as soon as we can after becoming aware of it.
Your rights
You can make any of the following requests at any time by writing to dev@insigtx.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Access the information we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; delete your account and associated data; withdraw consent you previously gave; and obtain a copy of your data.
We may need to verify your identity first, to protect your account. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal, but it may mean some features stop working.
Minors
insigtX is intended for adults and is not offered to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If we discover that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a minor has submitted information to us can request deletion at dev@insigtx.com.
Contact and changes to this policy
Our content may link to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not govern.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify you in-app or by email.
