On CNBC's "Midday Report Final Trades" segment, Capital Wealth Planning founder and CIO Kevin Simpson selected Amazon.com, Inc.

According to recent news, Amazon said Tuesday it is increasing its planned investment in northwest Louisiana from $12 billion to $18 billion. The expansion includes a third data center campus in Shreveport.

Requisite Capital Management managing partner Bryn Talkington picked the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF as her final trade.

SoFi head of investment strategy Liz Thomas recommended the iShares Gold Trust.

Virtus Investment Partners senior managing director Joseph M. Terranova chose Target Corporation.

On Wednesday, Target reported better-than-expected second-quarter results. The company posted quarterly earnings per share of $2.46, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $2.33. The company reported quarterly sales of $26.639 billion, exceeding the analyst consensus estimate of $26.141 billion.

Target raised its fiscal 2026 adjusted EPS guidance from $8.50 to $9.90-$10.90, while lifting its sales forecast from $108.971 billion to $110.019 billion.

Stock Performance

Amazon shares rose 2.5% on Wednesday, closing at $265.84.

The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF gained 6% during trading.

Target stock advanced 4.3% on Wednesday, closing at $159.00.

The iShares Gold Trust rose 3.8% during trading.
