Blockchain data analyst obchakevich_ stated that after analyzing meme coin holdings on Robinhood Crypto, only a minority of wallets are in profit. The nine most popular meme coins cover 373,000 unique wallets and 540,000 positions, with random tokens on four launchpads adding another 160,000 positions. Among popular tokens, only 41% of wallets are in the black on paper, with no group reaching half. Among random tokens, Noxa stands at 36.7%, Doppler at 33.2%, and Pons V1 at 14.7%. The typical buyer of well-known memes lost 1.7%, while the typical buyer of random Pons V1 tokens lost 67%. Across 355 random tokens with at least 10 buyers each, only 5 saw a majority of buyers in profit, or 1.4%. A token leaving the bonding curve into a liquidity pool does not equate to becoming a popular asset. On Pons V2, 2% of launches reached that stage, with 36% of positions in positive territory. Roughly one-third of positions with only one buy-sell trade were profitable, while 59% of positions with 51 to 200 trades were positive. Positions with at least 11 trades accounted for 14% of the total and contributed 89% of realized profits, or $165 million of $185 million. The analysis used Dune queries covering June 1 to October 8, 2026, with position entry at $10, identifying traders by token flow.
