Anthropic removes Claude Max weekly usage cap data

On August 31, following earlier reports that Claude Max plan usage did not match promotional claims and led to a class-action lawsuit, Anthropic had disclosed weekly usage caps in 2025: 5x ($100) for 140-280 hours, and 20x ($200) for 240-480 hours, meaning the 20x plan costs double but only offers about 1.7x the weekly usage.

Anthropic has now removed these figures from its official website, stating only that "20x" is based on five-hour sessions, while acknowledging an independent weekly cap without disclosing the specific number.
