Ternus Pushes for Faster Product Development
Apple is seeking to unlock more value by accelerating product launches, cutting organizational layers, and pursuing additional revenue from existing products and services.
According to a Bloomberg report Tuesday, Ternus wants Apple to move beyond the traditional spring and fall launch cadence, introducing products more frequently throughout the year.
He is also reducing mid-level management layers, bringing engineers closer to senior leadership to make product development more responsive.
Apple is pursuing cost-cutting and AI-driven efficiency initiatives as rising component costs and slowing services growth pressure the business.
Ternus, services chief Eddy Cue, and Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh are also exploring new services and ways to generate more revenue from Apple's existing ecosystem.
