Arbe Selected for L3 Project
Arbe, together with its partner Jingwei Hirain Technologies, announced that one of the world's largest automotive groups has selected Jingwei Hirain's imaging radar for its L3-level autonomous passenger vehicle program in China, powered by Arbe's ultra-high-resolution radar chipset.
Jingwei Hirain will be responsible for manufacturing, supplying, and integrating the complete radar system, with mass production deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, ahead of vehicle production start. Arbe's ultra-high-resolution radar chipset will generate the dense, detailed radar data required by the vehicle's central autonomous driving platform.
Arbe CEO Ram Machness said: "Winning a major L3 program from a top global automotive group is a defining milestone in the commercialization of Arbe's technology. For hands-off autonomous driving, radar must deliver far more than detection; it must provide detailed perception data that vehicles can rely on at scale."
