Argentine Court Drops Criminal Investigation into President Milei and His Sister Over LIBRA

PANews, October 24 - According to Reuters, court records show that Argentine federal judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi has ordered the dismissal of the criminal investigation into President Javier Milei and his sister Karina Milei regarding their roles in the LIBRA meme coin incident. Argentine media La Nación reported that prosecutor Eduardo Taiano had previously requested the case be dropped.

The investigation began in February 2025, focusing on potential fraud in the issuance of the LIBRA token. Milei had promoted the token in posts on X platform, after which the token price plummeted. Milei subsequently deleted the related posts and denied any connection to the token.
