AUD Remains Weak After RBA's Hauser Adopts Hawkish Stance

During Asian trading hours on Wednesday, the AUD/USD pair extended its losses, currently trading around 0.70732. RBA Deputy Governor Hauser stated that inflation remains unacceptably high and that monetary policy must restrain demand and price pressures. He warned that if inflation fails to cool down, the central bank would have no choice but to raise interest rates again.
