Blockworks announced the launch of Agentic Detection, a feature that allows cryptocurrency exchanges and banks to receive compliance alerts directly from AI agents without waiting for human analyst review. The feature went live in Messari Monitoring on Thursday, with each alert labeled as either agent-generated or analyst-verified. Blockworks stated that previously, analyst verification of each item took approximately 5 minutes, while its proprietary model, trained on years of Messari analysts' work, can identify alerts within seconds. Agentic Detection is disabled by default, and clients can enable it on a per-view basis. Co-founder Jason Yanowitz noted that as on-chain activity scales, markets price events in seconds rather than minutes, and clients need near-real-time alerts. The detection layer is built on seven years of analyst coverage data, with agents able to read X, GitHub, governance forums, Discord, Telegram, project blogs, and over 1,000 news sources, covering more than 1,000 assets. Blockworks acquired Messari on June 12 for over $10 million, with the latter completing a Series A extension round in April led by ParaFi and Reciprocal Ventures, valuing it at $192 million, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, MoonPay Ventures, and others.
