According to Bloomberg, Hyperliquid Labs is in advanced negotiations with Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to offer perpetual futures products to US traders through Bitnomial, an exchange regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The report said the deal still requires regulatory approval, and representatives for both Payward and Hyperliquid Labs declined to comment. Previously, Kraken announced in May plans to launch CFTC-regulated perpetual futures via Kraken Pro, with the contracts to be listed on Bitnomial and cleared by Kraken Derivatives US. Additionally, observers spotted a deployment named "Kraken HIP-3 test DEX" on Hyperliquid's testnet, but the finding does not confirm Kraken's involvement, nor does it indicate that HIP-3 is related to the reported negotiations.
