Circle Launches Prepaid Fee Model for CCTP Fast Transfers

On September 08, Circle announced that its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) now supports a prepaid fee model for fast transfers. Developers can quote and charge fees via native tokens on the source chain or USDC before transaction execution, avoiding protocol fee deductions from the transfer amount on the destination chain.

This feature integrates fast transfer and forwarding fees into a single quote through the Quote API, enabling users to receive the full, expected USDC amount on the destination chain. Currently, this feature applies to USDC transfers on all EVM chains supported by CCTP, and does not support transfers initiated from Solana, but does support transfers into Solana.
