Claude Code Launches Projects: One Conversation Splits into Parallel Threads, Tasks Continue Running with Laptop Closed

Anthropic has rolled out a major upgrade, Projects, for its coding assistant Claude Code, introducing a multi-threaded automated workflow architecture that allows AI to continuously execute coding tasks in parallel while users are offline, marking a substantive step for AI coding tools toward autonomous project management. The feature is currently available in beta to select Claude Pro and Max subscribers.
