Rescale Selects CoreWeave to Expand Engineering and AI Workloads
CoreWeave announced Tuesday that Rescale will expand its cloud ecosystem to the CoreWeave platform.
The partnership will support AI and simulation workloads used in product development. It will serve customers in aerospace, automotive, energy, life sciences, and manufacturing.
Rescale's platform integrates computing infrastructure, simulation software, and AI tools. This integration will enable its customers to access CoreWeave's cloud services for generative AI and high-performance computing.
Rescale will use CoreWeave Kubernetes services. This service helps engineering teams run distributed simulations and AI models without managing underlying infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Truist Securities analyst Arvind Ramnani maintained a Buy rating on CoreWeave on Monday. Ramnani raised his price target from $155 to $165.
Broader market conditions also provided support. The Russell 2000 rose 0.32%, and the Dow Jones gained 0.10%. However, the advance/decline ratio remained near 0.8, indicating concentrated gains.
Technical Analysis
CoreWeave remains in a longer-term recovery phase. The stock trades 11.3% below its 100-day simple moving average and 3.9% below its 200-day simple moving average.
However, the 20-day simple moving average has moved above the 50-day simple moving average. This bullish crossover suggests recent declines have stabilized.
The relative strength index stands at 48.54. This reading indicates neutral momentum.
Nevertheless, the death cross from July remains a concern. That pattern formed when the 50-day simple moving average fell below the 200-day simple moving average. CoreWeave shares have declined 4.78% over the past 12 months.
Key resistance sits near $94.50. Support is around $87.
Analyst Outlook
CoreWeave has a consensus rating of Buy, with an average price target of $144.11.
Truist Securities maintains a Buy rating and raised its target to $165 on August 24. Goldman Sachs maintains a Neutral rating and raised its target to $139 on August 21. Citigroup maintains a Buy rating and raised its target to $159 on August 14.
Edge Ranking
CoreWeave's momentum score on the Edge scorecard is 12.96, classified as weak. This reading reflects the stock's position below key longer-term moving averages.
A breakout above $94.50 could strengthen recovery momentum. However, a drop below $87 could undermine Tuesday's bullish setup.
