Coty Fourth-Quarter Details

Coty reported a quarterly loss of two cents per share, missing the consensus estimate of a one-cent loss per share.

Quarterly revenue came in at $1.27 billion, surpassing Wall Street's expectation of $1.19 billion by 6.25%.

Interim CEO Markus Strobel said: "We ended FY26 with stronger performance, achieving sales and profit above targets, growing free cash flow despite business headwinds, while establishing a clear strategic framework and taking decisive actions to steadily strengthen our core business in FY27 and beyond."

Outlook: Coty expects first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 11 cents to 13 cents, below the analyst estimate of 14 cents.

Technical Analysis

Coty stock currently presents a bullish setup, trading well above its short-term moving averages. The 20-day simple moving average is 9.4% higher than the price, while the 50-day simple moving average is 25.4% higher, indicating strong recent upward momentum.

The relative strength index is 63.28, which is neutral but indicates momentum is building without being overbought. This positioning suggests Coty may still have room to rise before facing significant selling pressure.

The MACD is currently below its signal line, indicating that bearish pressure may temper near-term gains. Traders should be cautious, as this suggests that despite the current bullish price action, momentum may not be as strong as it appears.

Over the past 12 months, Coty has declined 38.41%, reflecting a longer-term difficult trend. This significant drop highlights the need for traders to consider both current momentum and the broader context of the stock's performance.

COTY price action: According to the data, Coty stock fell 6.93% to $2.82 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.
