Over the past 7 days, USDC saw $11.2 billion in issuance and $10.2 billion in redemptions, resulting in a net circulation increase of $1 billion; over the past 30 days, issuance totaled $33.4 billion and redemptions $31.9 billion, with a net increase of $1.5 billion. Circle stated that USDC reserves are backed by highly liquid cash and cash equivalents, primarily including bank deposits, overnight reverse repurchase agreements backed by U.S. Treasuries, and U.S. Treasury bills with maturities under three months, held separately from corporate operating funds.
