Datavault AI Inc. shares fell Wednesday after the company's fiscal 2026 second-quarter results missed Wall Street expectations.

Revenue grew 287% year-over-year to $6.72 million from $1.74 million, but fell short of the $30.25 million estimate.

Datavault reported a loss of 12 cents per share, missing the expected loss of 3 cents per share. The company posted a loss of 54 cents per share a year ago. GAAP net loss widened to $88.03 million from $37.12 million.

Gross Profit Rises, Operating Loss Widens

Gross profit increased to $2.88 million from $35,000 a year ago. However, operating loss widened to $26.46 million from $12.46 million.

Revenue included $2.84 million from live event production and $2.51 million from patent licensing. Consumer audio products, components, and other revenue contributed $1.05 million.

The quarter included an $8.09 million loss on crypto assets and a $56.37 million impairment on investments in unlisted securities. Datavault held $1.4 million in cash and cash equivalents at the end of June.

Datavault Secures New Financing

Datavault entered into a securities purchase agreement with Streeterville Capital.

The company issued an unsecured convertible promissory note with a principal amount of $25.03 million and a purchase price of $25 million. Streeterville also obtained the right to reinvest up to $25 million through convertible notes over a 12-month period.

Acquisition Expands Platform

The financing was followed by Datavault agreeing on August 14 to acquire CyberCatch Holdings Inc. for $94.5 million in cash.

Datavault also signed a definitive agreement to acquire BankWyse, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

The company is also developing Project Qestrel, a network of 1,000 sovereign edge data centers for cybersecurity planned across 100 U.S. cities and more than 30 states.

Full-Year Revenue Guidance Tops Estimates

Datavault reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 full-year revenue guidance of at least $200 million, exceeding the $196.46 million estimate. The outlook implies year-over-year growth of approximately 400%.

DVLT price action: Datavault AI stock fell 12.15% to 34 cents in Wednesday's premarket trading.
