Multiple sources close to ByteDance said the company has decided to extend the pre-training and post-training cycles, with a focus on strengthening the Seed model's capabilities in Coding, tool invocation, and Agent, aiming to bring its Coding level into the industry's top tier by year-end, benchmarking against Zhipu GLM-5.2 and Kimi K3.
