U.S. stocks traded higher Friday morning, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining over 350 points.

After the market opened Friday, the Dow rose 0.67% to 53,113.67 points, the Nasdaq rose 0.06% to 26,082.46 points, and the S&P 500 also rose 0.32% to 7,663.85 points.

Leading and Lagging Sectors

Materials stocks rose 2% on Friday.

In Friday trading, utilities stocks fell 0.3%.

Top Headlines

BJ's Wholesale Club reported better-than-expected second-quarter results on Friday.

The company reported quarterly earnings of $1.36 per share, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.17 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $6.227 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $5.957 billion.

BJ's Wholesale raised its 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance from $4.40-$4.60 to $4.60-$4.80.
