Emerson Electric announced Monday a long-term strategic partnership with Equinor ASA to provide measurement technology and services for the energy company's global offshore and onshore operations.

The 13-year framework agreement will expand the two companies' existing automation partnership. It also supports Equinor's efforts to improve production, reliability, and efficiency across its energy assets.

Emerson Expands Equinor Automation Partnership

Under the agreement, Emerson will provide measurement instruments, analytical technology, and lifecycle services. These systems will help Equinor accelerate project development, extend field life, and improve resource recovery.

Additionally, the partnership aims to standardize operations across Equinor's global assets. The two companies will also collaborate on technology innovation and digital operations.

The agreement builds on more than 40 years of collaboration between Emerson and Equinor. Equinor has used Emerson technology across multiple areas, including subsea multiphase flow meters, downhole monitoring systems, valves, emission management systems, and control systems.

Agreement Supports Equinor's 2035 Goals

Emerson said the expanded partnership will support Equinor's Norwegian Continental Shelf 2035 initiative.

"For more than 40 years, Emerson has been a trusted technology provider to Equinor," said Slawomir Suchomski, President of Emerson Europe.

Suchomski said Emerson's measurement technology will help Equinor optimize production and improve reliability. It will also support the safe and efficient operation of the company's global assets.

The companies said the collaboration strengthens their existing digital initiatives and focuses on improving long-term operational performance.

Price movement: In Monday premarket trading, Equinor shares fell 1.07% to $42.40, while Emerson Electric shares rose 0.22% to $157.61.
