The Ethereum Foundation (EF) stated that Protocol Cluster has released two new articles, systematically evaluating the next network upgrade, Hegotá. Among them, "Hegotá EIP Opinion Post and Tier List" evaluates and grades the 62 EIPs currently proposed, marking the team's first unified EIP rating list for a network upgrade. It is reported that about 60 researchers, engineers, and domain experts from 9 teams under Protocol Cluster participated in the review, submitting a total of 397 rating opinions and conducting on-site discussions on controversial proposals. The accompanying article outlines current and future priorities at the Ethereum protocol layer, with one core goal being to achieve quantum-resistant capabilities for Ethereum L1 by December 2029. The Ethereum Foundation stated that the above upgrade plans, long-term commitments, and cluster-level shared priorities provide contextual basis for finalizing the Hegotá upgrade scope and EIP ratings. Additionally, Protocol Cluster will host an AMA on September 16 at 14:00 UTC in the r/ethereum community on Reddit, discussing topics such as Hegotá EIP ratings and protocol development priorities.
