September 8 news, according to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation protocol team released the Hegotá upgrade EIP priority list, setting the target date of December 2029 for achieving "quantum safety" across Ethereum Layer 1 in execution, consensus, and data layers. On the consensus layer, FOCIL (EIP-7805) is listed as S-grade "must-launch," enhancing censorship resistance by forcing inclusion of public mempool transactions; on the execution layer, Frame Transactions (EIP-8141) is also "must-launch," splitting transactions into programmable "frames" for verification, gas payment, and execution, laying groundwork for native account abstraction, custom signatures, and gas sponsorship while improving post-quantum security readiness.
