Fed Chair Warsh: Task Force to Hold Hearing in November, Focusing on AI's Economic Impact

PANews, October 16 - According to Jinshi, Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said on Friday that the Fed's Task Force on Productivity and Employment will hold a field hearing on November 16 in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on topics including AI's impact on the economy. Warsh announced the arrangement during the IMF Annual Meetings in Bangkok. He stated that the task force will conduct in-depth research on the effects of artificial intelligence on economic activity and the labor market.

In June, Warsh established five task forces composed of external experts to study key areas in monetary policy formulation. He previously stated that he expects these working groups to submit policy recommendations to the Fed around the end of this year. Warsh did not comment on monetary policy or the U.S. economic outlook on this occasion.
