On September 17, according to Jinshi Data, the Federal Reserve's FOMC released its Summary of Economic Projections (SEP) at the latest meeting. The data shows that the committee adjusted its median expectations for the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index inflation from 2026 to 2028. Specifically, the median PCE inflation expectation for 2026 was revised up to 3.7%, up from the 3.6% projected in June.

For subsequent years, the Fed maintained a relatively stable projection path. The median PCE inflation expectation for 2027 was set at 2.3%, unchanged from the June projection; for 2028, the figure is expected to be 2.1%, a slight downward revision from the previous projection of 2%. This data update reflects the Federal Open Market Committee's latest assessment of medium- to long-term inflation trends.
