FingerMotion Inc. shares surged Friday morning as investors reacted to the company's new strategic direction toward AI and high-performance computing data center infrastructure in North America.
FingerMotion was among the best-performing stocks today. Why is FNGR stock rising?
Strategic partnership with BlueFlare targets off-grid AI power
Market enthusiasm centers on FingerMotion's alliance with BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc., positioning the company as an owner-operator of rapidly deployable modular data centers. FingerMotion says its behind-the-meter strategy leverages abundant natural gas resources in Western Canada for on-site power generation, bypassing multi-year utility interconnection queues.
The infrastructure plan uses BlueFlare's proprietary adaptive load architecture to dynamically allocate power between primary AI inference workloads and co-located Bitcoin mining, maintaining operational continuity and maximizing energy utilization.
First step via Lyken.AI and corporate strategy
The strategic pivot follows Jolie Kahn's appointment as CEO on August 4. The company executed its first major milestone on August 17, acquiring a 9.9% equity stake in Lyken AI Computing Inc. via restricted stock. Lyken operates as a demand-side engine serving mid-market enterprise computing workloads, complementing BlueFlare's site and power generation capabilities.
Management has outlined four clear milestones to track progress: site control, power delivery, enterprise customer offtake, and asset-level project financing. The company also confirmed that its existing mobile payments and data analytics businesses in China will continue operating in parallel with the North American expansion.
