On August 31, the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking selected French supercomputing firm Bull to build the AI supercomputer LUMI-AI, to be deployed at Finland's CSC data center.
The system will use AMD Instinct MI430X GPUs and 6th-generation EPYC 256-core processors, delivering 2x HPC compute and 10x AI compute compared to the existing LUMI system, expected to open in H2 2027.
