Futu Holdings Limited shares rose in pre-market trading Thursday after the company reported strong second-quarter results.

Futu reported revenue of $918.16 million, beating analyst estimates of $775.99 million.
Revenue increased 35.6% year-over-year to HK$7.2 billion, with gross profit up 33.9% to HK$6.21 billion.
Adjusted net income rose 40.1% to HK$3.73 billion.
International markets remain a key growth driver. Malaysia led new client growth for the third consecutive quarter, followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. New clients in these markets also demonstrated stronger initial monetization.
As of June 30, Futu had repurchased approximately 3.8 million American Depositary Shares for approximately $418 million.
Funded Accounts Up 34%
Futu added 252,000 funded accounts during the quarter, bringing the total to 3.8 million, up 33.6% year-over-year.
Brokerage accounts grew 26.6% to 6.64 million, with total users up 15.2% to 31.3 million.
Total client assets grew 43.6% to HK$1.40 trillion. Average daily client assets rose 55.6% to HK$1.39 trillion.
Trading volume hit a record HK$6.42 trillion, up 78.8% year-over-year. US stock trading volume grew 67.2% quarter-over-quarter to HK$5.02 trillion, driven by semiconductor and AI stocks. Hong Kong stock trading volume rose 15.9% quarter-over-quarter to HK$1.17 trillion.
Margin financing and securities lending balance grew 85.1% year-over-year and 30.5% quarter-over-quarter to HK$95.1 billion. Strong Hong Kong IPO activity and higher leverage utilization supported this growth.
Wealth management assets grew 10.4% to HK$180.2 billion.
Futu has served a cumulative 683 IPO placement and investor relations clients, up 32.1% year-over-year. The company also provided investment banking services to nearly 60% of newly listed companies in Hong Kong during the quarter.
