Glassnode: Privacy Sector Up 213% Since Last October, Best Performing Sector of 2026

September 7 news, Glassnode data shows that the privacy sector is the most prominent sector in 2026. Bitcoin is still down 36% from its October 2025 high, and the median of the top 200 assets is down 58% from that level, but the privacy sector is up 213% overall, making it the only sector above its cycle high. All sectors rose over the past 30 days, with the privacy sector leading at 90%. The privacy sector's market cap has grown from $7.1 billion a year ago to $33.6 billion, with nearly half of that growth coming in the past 30 days. ZEC has jumped from 82nd to 7th in market cap ranking, with a gain of 2,496%, accounting for 62% of the privacy sector's market cap. The other seven privacy coins all rose over the year, and excluding ZEC, the privacy sector is still up 85% year-over-year.
