【Gold Dips Below $4,000 Recently; BofA Strategist Says Pressure to Persist Until US-Iran Conflict Ends】

(1) Despite analysts consistently emphasizing that gold's long-term investment value remains unchanged, its price has fallen from $5,600 per ounce at the start of the year and recently dipped below $4,000 per ounce, reflecting growing market caution toward gold.

(2) Rob Haworth, senior investment strategist at Bank of America Wealth Management, noted that the US-Iran conflict must end before gold can return to $5,000 per ounce. Although gold's long-term investment appeal remains intact, the precious metal continues to face negative pressure as central banks prioritize economic stability and energy security over accumulating more gold. As long as the US-Iran conflict persists, pressure on the gold market will remain.

(3) He also stated that the US-Iran conflict has triggered a significant shift in global capital flows, as countries facing rising energy and food costs redirect resources from reserve diversification to other uses. Meanwhile, rising bond yields, a stronger dollar, and growing liquidity demand are undermining gold's traditional safe-haven appeal.
