Nasdaq-listed Hyperion DeFi (NASDAQ: HYPD) announced on September 8, 2026, that it has raised its full-year 2026 guidance and initiated a share repurchase program of up to $20 million in common stock. The company claims to be the first U.S.-listed DeFi company built on Hyperliquid. The full-year adjusted gross profit guidance has been raised from the previous $5 million to $7 million to $7 million to $8 million. The company expects adjusted net operating cash flow to turn positive in the third quarter of 2026, earlier than the previous expectation of "turning positive by the end of 2026."

The company also expects core operating income to turn positive in the third quarter, with quarterly core DeFi business adjusted gross profit exceeding operating expenses excluding stock-based compensation for the first time. Third-quarter adjusted gross profit guidance is $2 million to $2.5 million, operating expenses excluding stock-based compensation are $2 million to $2.25 million, and core operating income is $0 to $0.5 million. The board has authorized the repurchase of up to $20 million of outstanding common stock over a maximum of 12 months, which may be conducted through open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions, block trades, or other means. The specific amount is not guaranteed, and the plan may be extended, suspended, or terminated at any time. CEO Hyunsu Jung stated that DeFi business has accelerated recently, with the third-quarter core business expected to achieve breakeven at both profit and cash flow levels, and noted that HYPD common stock is currently trading at a discount of approximately 20% to 30% to net asset value.
