Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. shares hit an all-time high on Friday, following the release of its strong fiscal 2026 results on Thursday.
On Friday, Chardan Capital maintained a Buy rating on Hyperliquid Strategies and raised its price target to $17.
Treasury Expansion Drives Annual Growth
According to Hyperliquid Strategies' press release, during the fiscal year ended June 30, the company raised $647 million through equity financing, growing its HYPE treasury from an initial 12.5 million tokens to 29.3 million.
Since June 30, the company has deployed $773.4 million to purchase approximately 16.5 million additional HYPE tokens at an average cost of $46.77, with book cash of $132.6 million as of August 19.
"This was a year of building the platform," CEO David Schamis said in the press release. "Much of the value created was returned to HYPE holders through programmatic buybacks," he added.
Political Endorsement Boosts Sentiment
President Donald Trump said at a press conference on August 19 that CFTC Chairman Mike Selig is actively pushing for Hyperliquid to enter the United States in a fully compliant manner. This direct endorsement from the President drove both HYPE and PURR significantly higher in the days that followed.
Record Market Share
As of June 30, the platform's share of global perpetual contract trading volume reached an all-time high of 9.4%, while as of August 23, Hyperliquid accounted for 63% of all open interest in decentralized perpetual contracts, more than five times that of its second-largest competitor.
Technical Analysis
PURR is trading well above its trend indicators, with the stock 56.4% above its 20-day moving average, 69.7% above its 50-day moving average, and 75.1% above its 100-day moving average—typical "price discovery" behavior, but it also increases the likelihood of a sharp pullback. The 20-day moving average remains above the 50-day moving average, reinforcing the view that the medium-term trend remains upward.
The Relative Strength Index is currently the clearest momentum reading: at 83.97, it indicates this rally has become overextended and is firmly in overbought territory.
The stock is also approaching the upper end of its range after hitting a 52-week high in August, following a swing high in June and a swing low in July that set the stage for the latest leg higher.
Key resistance: $14.14
Key support: $8.59
PURR stock movement: As of Friday's writing, Hyperliquid Strategies shares were up 5.03% at $12.19.
