Kalshi seeks at least $750M funding at $40B valuation, 30-day volume hits $14.1B

Prediction market platform Kalshi is seeking at least $750 million in funding at a $40 billion valuation, doubling from its $22 billion valuation six months ago. The platform was approved as a designated contract market by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in 2021. As of September 4, Kalshi's trading volume over the past 30 days reached $14.1 billion, compared to Polymarket's $3.1 billion, with Kalshi accounting for approximately 82% of the combined volume. Over 80% of Kalshi's trading volume comes from sports events.
