Major U.S. stock indexes closed lower on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.67% to 51,481.51 points, the S&P 500 slipping 0.77% to 7,683.69 points, and the Nasdaq dropping 0.92% to 26,820.38 points.

Market volatility was driven by rising U.S. Treasury yields and oil prices approaching $100 per barrel. Investors are closely watching whether this marks a rotation from growth stocks to value-oriented sectors.

Here are the trending stocks that caught the attention of retail traders and investors on the day:

MongoDB Inc.

MongoDB Inc. shares plunged 18.46% to close at $334.68. The stock hit an intraday high of $344.30 and a low of $300, with a 52-week trading range of $473.10 to $215.68.

The sharp decline came after the company's CEO, Chirantan Desai, unexpectedly departed to join Meta Platforms. Former CEO Dev Ittycheria has been appointed interim President and CEO.

Kodiak Sciences Inc.

Kodiak Sciences Inc. shares surged 177.96% to close at $89.92. The stock hit an intraday high of $95.77 and a low of $60.49, with a 52-week high of $95.77 and a low of $10.94. In after-hours trading, the stock fell 1.92% to $88.19.

Kodiak Sciences stated that both Zenkuda and tabirafusp-ted met their primary endpoints in the Phase 3 DAYBREAK trial, demonstrating non-inferior visual acuity improvement versus Regeneron's Eylea one year after treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration. Zenkuda showed a 54% six-month durability rate at the one-year mark, and both therapies exhibited favorable safety profiles. Kodiak plans to submit a multi-indication Biologics License Application for Zenkuda in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Navitas Semiconductor Corp

Navitas Semiconductor Corp shares fell 3.85% to $11.73, with an intraday high of $12.18 and a low of $11.60. The 52-week trading range is $34.16 to $6.79. The stock surged 12.39% in after-hours trading to $13.18.

Navitas Semiconductor was selected by the U.S. government to participate in the ALATTIS project to develop next-generation 10-kilovolt silicon carbide power semiconductors. The project will establish and validate a domestic U.S. manufacturing process for ultra-high-voltage SiC technology through iterative design, fabrication, and testing, extending Navitas' capabilities beyond its existing SiC MOSFETs.

Boeing Co.

Boeing Co. shares fell 6.91% to close at $184.39. The stock hit an intraday high of $192.77 and a low of $184.01, with a 52-week trading range of $254.35 to $176.77.

Boeing shares declined after the company acknowledged a previously undisclosed software glitch affecting the 737 MAX that could cause autopilot functions to disengage when flight crews alter the flight path after a go-around. The issue adds pressure to shares already trading below key moving averages, with the stock sitting 14.9% below its 200-day simple moving average and facing support near $187.50.

Nvidia Corp.

Nvidia shares rose 1.68% to $228.86, with an intraday high of $233.21 and a low of $228.04. The 52-week trading range is $236.54 to $164.27.

Nvidia authorized an additional $150 billion share buyback, bringing its total remaining repurchase authorization to $235 billion through fiscal 2028, the largest buyback authorization in its history. The move comes roughly two weeks after Jim Cramer urged CEO Jensen Huang to execute a $500 billion buyback, saying it would demonstrate confidence in Nvidia's long-term prospects. According to Edge Stock Rankings, Nvidia shares score in the 86th percentile for momentum and the 6th percentile for value.
