Nano Labs Ltd. shares traded lower in early Friday trading after the company released its first-half 2026 financial results, with investors weighing the expanded net loss against management's aggressive pivot toward AI hardware integration and cryptocurrency treasury management.
Nano Labs shares are climbing firmly. Why is the NA share price rising?
Cryptocurrency Valuation Impairment Widens First-Half Net Loss
Nano Labs' unaudited financial results for the six months ended June 30 were released early Friday. Net revenue fell 66.4% year-over-year to RMB 2.8 million, down from RMB 8.3 million in the first half of 2025, primarily due to lower sales of its iPollo V-series products.
The net loss widened sharply to RMB 316.7 million, or $2.00 per share, compared to a net loss of RMB 11.8 million in the same period last year. The expanded net loss was mainly attributed to a RMB 250.5 million fair value loss on its cryptocurrency holdings due to BNB price fluctuations during the first half, versus a fair value gain of RMB 48.6 million in the first half of 2025.
AI Hardware Pivot, BNB Treasury Reserve, and Share Buyback
Despite revenue headwinds, strategic progress in its computing and Web3 businesses underpinned positive sentiment.
Nano Labs highlighted the launch of its iPollo ClawPC A1 Mini, designed to support the OpenClaw AI Agent system, as part of its broader push into localized AI hardware, operating systems, and computing infrastructure.
On capital allocation, management reaffirmed its digital asset reserve strategy, holding 70,000 BNB long-term, while confirming that as of August 26, it had completed $3.2 million in Class A ordinary share repurchases under its ongoing buyback program.
