From January to September, profits of raw material manufacturing enterprises above designated size grew by 44.9% year-on-year, driving a 5.9 percentage point increase in profits of all industrial enterprises above designated size. By sector, strong demand for base metals such as copper and aluminum from fields like artificial intelligence and new energy drove a 79.7% profit increase in the nonferrous metals industry. Rising international crude oil prices improved profitability in related sectors, with the chemical industry seeing a 49.2% profit growth; the petroleum processing industry turned from a loss to a profit year-on-year, achieving total profits of 84.22 billion yuan.
