Ondo Finance has appointed Allison Parent as Chief Policy Officer, responsible for engaging with policymakers and regulators to advance regulatory and industry standards for tokenized assets.
Parent previously served as an Executive Director at the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA) for nearly 10 years, and has held roles including Head of Global Policy and Strategy at Barclays, Senior Policy Advisor and Market Legal Counsel at the Bank of England, and General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, where she contributed to major post-financial-crisis legislation such as the Dodd-Frank Act. The appointment comes as Ondo expands its tokenized asset business. Its tokenized stock products surpassed $1 billion in TVL in under 8 months; the company has received authorization from the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority to conduct related operations in the EU and the European Economic Area, and has obtained FINRA-related licenses through its SEC-registered broker-dealer, Oasis Pro Markets. Ondo's on-chain products currently cover assets including stocks, ETFs, ADRs, and U.S. short-term Treasury bills.
