Ripple completed a $275 million senior bond issuance on Tuesday through its prime brokerage division, while XRP rebounded above the $1 level.
What the $275 Million Issuance Covers
According to Ripple's press release, the private placement of senior unsecured bonds through its non-bank prime brokerage Ripple Prime attracted a diversified base of institutional investors.
The issuance received an investment-grade BBB rating from KBRA and exceeded its original target size.
Proceeds were used for working capital and general corporate purposes, driven by growing client demand for multi-asset clearing, prime brokerage, and financing services.
Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel noted in the press release that strong support for the inaugural issuance reflects market confidence in Ripple's long-term vision at the intersection of traditional and digital asset financial infrastructure.
Why South Korea Frequently Appears in Ripple News
Ripple also confirmed on Tuesday that Jeonbuk Bank has deployed Ripple Payments for cross-border settlement, becoming the first Korean regional bank to adopt the service.
According to earlier reports, this is Ripple's third Korean institutional partnership in 2026, following Kyobo Life Insurance's on-chain bond settlement and Kbank's wallet infrastructure and custody services.
On-Chain Data Shows
CryptoQuant noted on X that XRP's open interest on Binance hit a two-month high, with analyst ArabxChain pointing out that rising derivatives participation makes the next price move more significant in either direction.
Meanwhile, analyst ChartNerd noted on X that XRP's monthly Relative Strength Index is at its most oversold level in 13 years.
The three-month RSI has not yet touched its historical bottom of 48, indicating a full reset is imminent but not yet complete.
XRP Technical Picture
XRP held above $1 on Tuesday, having been tested multiple times this week. More importantly, the price is now pressing directly against the descending trendline from the May high of $1.55, which has suppressed every rebound since then.
A daily close above $1.03 would mark the first genuine breakout above this descending trendline.
