Rubrik Inc. reported better-than-expected second-quarter results on Thursday.
Rubrik posted quarterly earnings per share of 22 cents, well above the 4 cents analysts had anticipated. Quarterly revenue came in at $427.26 million, surpassing the $396.278 million consensus estimate. Subscription revenue reached $407.2 million, up 37% year-over-year from $297 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
"Mythos and frontier AI models are fundamentally reshaping the cybersecurity landscape. This new reality demands not just machine-speed recovery but autonomous runtime AI agent security," said Rubrik CEO Bipul Sinha.
Rubrik raised its adjusted earnings per share guidance for fiscal 2027 to between 47 cents and 53 cents, compared to the 31 cents analysts expected. The company also lifted its revenue outlook to between $1.685 billion and $1.693 billion, versus the $1.65 billion analyst estimate.
Rubrik shares fell 5.6% in pre-market trading to $101.01.
Following the earnings release, several analysts adjusted their price targets for Rubrik.
BTIG analyst Gray Powell maintained a Buy rating and raised the price target from $109 to $125.
BMO Capital analyst Keith Bachman maintained an Outperform rating and increased the price target from $98 to $115.
Keybanc analyst Eric Heath maintained an Overweight rating and lifted the price target from $112 to $120.
