SoFi Technologies stock is facing downward pressure. What's next for SOFI shares?
Paid Membership Momentum and Crypto Infrastructure Boost Sentiment
Friday's market action continues to reflect investor optimism around two key operational catalysts, which launched alongside the company's strong second-quarter financial foundation.
The company is increasingly highlighting early momentum in its relaunched paid membership tier, SoFi Plus, which has reached 206,000 paying users since its relaunch in the second quarter of 2026, with 85% being existing members and 25% adding additional financial products after joining.
Management targets reaching 1 million members within a year, implying an estimated $120 million in annual recurring revenue. Sentiment is also bolstered by SoFi's expansion into digital asset settlement through SoFiUSD, the first stablecoin issued by a nationally chartered bank on a public blockchain, which reached approximately $300 million in circulation by the end of the second quarter, aimed at capturing cross-border and settlement volume efficiencies.
Strong Second-Quarter Earnings Inflection Anchors Upside Trend
The recent momentum builds on SoFi's second-quarter financial report released on July 29, in which the company delivered record net revenue of $1.21 billion and adjusted earnings per share of 12 cents, beating Wall Street consensus estimates.
SoFi added a record 1.1 million net new members in the quarter, bringing total membership to 15.8 million, prompting management to raise its full-year 2026 net revenue guidance to a range of $4.75 billion to $4.85 billion.
