State Council Food Safety Office Lists Case of Disinfection Company Illegally Using Dichlorvos for Restaurant Pest Control for Supervised Investigation

In response to the recent public concern over the incident in Xiamen, Fujian Province, where a disinfection company illegally used dichlorvos for pest control at restaurant premises, the State Council Food Safety Office has decided to list the case for supervised investigation. It has also established a joint working group with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration to go to the site to supervise and guide the case handling, severely punish illegal and non-compliant acts in accordance with the law, conduct risk inspections by drawing inferences from this case, and effectively safeguard the public's food safety.
