Super Micro Computer shares edged higher in Tuesday premarket trading, with risk appetite holding steady. Nasdaq futures rose 0.83%, and S&P 500 futures gained 0.41%.
This modest gain reflects broader market strength rather than company-specific new catalysts. Traders are watching whether Super Micro can extend its rebound from July lows.
The stock has entered a key technical range. Short-term signals are improving, but the long-term recovery remains incomplete.
Cisco Expands NVIDIA-Powered AI Factory with Super Micro
Separately, Cisco Systems said Tuesday it expanded its secure AI factory with NVIDIA through a partnership with Super Micro.
Cisco will add Super Micro's liquid-cooled and air-cooled servers to its AI infrastructure portfolio. The platform will combine high-density compute, networking, security, and cooling technologies.
The expanded offering will support large-scale AI training and inference workloads. It will also meet NVIDIA Cloud Partner requirements for new cloud and sovereign cloud customers.
Cisco will offer Super Micro systems starting in October 2026.
Super Micro Technical Analysis
Super Micro stock is trading above its four major simple moving averages. The stock is 8.8% above its 20-day simple moving average of $33.11 and 17.9% above its 50-day simple moving average of $30.55.
The stock is also 15% above its 100-day simple moving average of $31.32 and 14.7% above its 200-day simple moving average of $31.39. These readings indicate the rebound has gained momentum.
However, crossover signals remain mixed. The 20-day simple moving average sits above the 50-day simple moving average, pointing to short-term bullish momentum. Still, the 50-day simple moving average remains below the 200-day simple moving average. This keeps the December 2025 "death cross" in place as a long-term warning signal.
The moving average convergence divergence indicator is above its signal line. Its positive histogram also indicates improving buying momentum.
Resistance sits near $42.50, where sellers may slow another advance. Support is near $29, where buyers previously stepped in.

The stock has a price-to-earnings ratio of 10.8. It carries a hold consensus rating. Analysts' average price target is $36.20.

These scores point to an attractive fundamental profile. Still, the stock may need sustained breakouts to attract more momentum-focused buyers.
