President Donald Trump bought up to $50,000 in Space Exploration Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX) shares shortly after the Elon Musk-led company's record IPO.

Trump Bought SpaceX Shares After Record IPO

Trump purchased between $15,001 and $50,000 worth of SpaceX shares on June 23, according to a financial disclosure signed Aug. 12 and released Saturday.

The transaction was among more than 1,000 stock trades made by Trump in June. It also included sizable investments in Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK) (NYSE:BRK), Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), Mastercard Inc. (NYSE:MA) and Cintas (NASDAQ:CTAS).

The purchase came just 11 days after SpaceX completed the biggest-ever U.S. initial public offering. The June 12 IPO valued the space, satellite and artificial intelligence company at about $1.77 trillion.

Federal disclosures use investment-value ranges, so the precise amount Trump invested remains unclear.

The disclosure also shows sales of Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ:AVGO), Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares in June 2026, with transaction values ranging from $15,001 to $250,000.

SpaceX Investment Creates Potential Conflict Questions

SpaceX is a major U.S. military contractor that regularly seeks approvals from federal agencies.

Last week, Trump signed a memorandum aimed at dramatically increasing U.S. commercial space launches, with a goal of reaching at least 1,000 launches and re-entries annually by 2030.

SpaceX is a dominant player in the commercial launch market.

SpaceX reported second-quarter revenue of $7.81 billion. This 92% year-over-year increase topped the $6.93 billion Street consensus, while its loss of 9 cents per share was narrower than analysts' estimate of a 24-cent loss.

White House Says Trump Does Not Control Trades

The White House told Reuters that third-party financial institutions independently manage Trump's portfolio and use strategies designed to track recognized indexes.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle said neither Trump nor his family can direct, influence or provide input on investment decisions.

Price Action: SpaceX closed at $135 on Monday, down 1.44%. The shares gained 17.32% over the past month Edge Stock Rankings, SpaceX continues to show a negative price trend across the short-, medium- and long-term periods.
