On-chain data shows that 1.4175 billion WLFI tokens, matching the holdings disclosed by U.S. President Trump, were transferred into an unlock contract via a multi-signature transaction on May 19, establishing the first clear timeline for realizing his approximately $800 million position. Participation in the vesting program requires an immediate 10% token burn upon entry, followed by a two-year cliff period, then a three-year linear release, with the earliest sale possible in May 2028. On-chain data shows a total of 6 internal wallets transferred tokens into the contract, with the largest wallet depositing 1.575 billion WLFI, retaining 1.4175 billion after the burn, consistent with Trump's disclosed holdings; two other wallets each deposited 375 million tokens, and three wallets each deposited 225 million. The unlock contract is currently the largest single holder of WLFI, holding 4.61 billion tokens, close to half of the total supply. WLFI's total supply has decreased from a 100 billion cap to 9.67 billion. The vesting program was created by a governance proposal passed around May 6, with 11,537 wallets voting in favor. Founder token holders can choose to convert their indefinite lock-up into a two-year cliff plus three-year vesting period, with participation being voluntary. World Liberty Financial spokesperson David Wachsman stated that the community voted in favor of the founder burn, and co-founders transferred tokens into the smart contract to complete the burn, accepting the strictest lock-up conditions among all token holders.
