US Pressures Mexico to Accept New AI Hardware Export Rules

According to sources familiar with the matter, the US government is pressuring Mexican officials to accept new regulations on artificial intelligence hardware exports. US-Mexico trade officials are expected to hold a new round of talks in Washington as early as next week. The two countries are also expected to discuss the possibility of reducing US tariffs on steel, aluminum, and automobiles.
