Following an overnight decline in US Treasury yields, the Japanese government bond yield curve moved lower across all tenors. On Thursday, US Treasury yields fell due to steady long-term auction results and Treasury repurchase operations. Diminished expectations for further Federal Reserve rate hikes exerted downward pressure on both US and Japanese bond yields. Japan's 10-year government bond yield dropped 4.5 basis points intraday to 3.035%, the 2-year yield fell 1.5 basis points to 1.915%, and the 30-year yield declined 4 basis points to 4.08%.
