Visa: Over 160 Stablecoin-Linked Card Programs Launched Globally in Fiscal Q2, Payment Volume Up Nearly 200% YoY

Visa stated in an official blog post that stablecoin-linked cards are one of the fastest-growing segments of its network. In fiscal Q2, over 160 stablecoin-linked card programs were launched globally, with payment volume up nearly 200% year-over-year and annualized settlement volume exceeding $20 billion, up over 15 times year-over-year. Visa noted that its stablecoin-based revolving credit facility launched in partnership with Credit Coop provides daily settlement funding for early-stage stablecoin card programs, with borrowing costs for some participating programs having dropped by over 30%.
