Visa Partners with Brale to Test SBC Settlement on Canton Network

September 9, according to Cointelegraph, Visa recently announced a collaboration with fintech infrastructure provider Brale to explore a private stablecoin-based settlement solution on Canton Network, a blockchain platform designed for financial institutions. The two parties will jointly conduct a Proof of Concept focused on evaluating the feasibility of using SBC—a dollar-collateralized stablecoin issued by an affiliate of Brale—as an additional settlement option for Visa's payment network.

Canton Network is known for its privacy protection and high interoperability, making it suitable for handling sensitive transaction data. Visa's partnership with Brale focuses on institutional-grade payment flows, aiming to validate the technical pathway for programmable, compliant, and directed payments in a blockchain environment. Visa stated that through this pilot, it will further expand its settlement capabilities in the crypto asset space, meeting financial institutions' dual demands for efficient fund flows and strict regulatory compliance.
