China and Switzerland Announce Completion of FTA Upgrade Negotiations

Swiss Federal President and Head of the Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Guy Parmelin, met with Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao in Bern, jointly announcing the completion of upgrade negotiations for the China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement and the signing of a memorandum of understanding. Both sides committed to making higher-level two-way openings in multiple areas including goods, services, investment, and rules, which will create new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
