DeepSeek Showcases Creator Mode for AI Workbench Harness

DeepSeek has showcased the Creator mode for its AI workbench Harness. Harness currently offers four modes: Standard, PTC, Minimalist, and Creator. In Creator mode, users can directly instruct the AI to develop plugins, modify the software interface, and install them into Harness for use, without needing to write code themselves.

Users only need to describe their requirements, and the AI will review Harness's development interface, write plugin code, complete the installation, and check the running results. Installed plugins can be retained and reused on the next launch. Beyond adding new interfaces, it can also equip Agents with additional tools, enabling operations they couldn't perform before. For example, users can have the AI create a video editing tool with a timeline, a paper reader supporting annotation and highlighting, or generate poster design tools, interactive 3D models, and even transform the Harness interface into a pixel-art game style.

In the official demo, the AI created a floating Pomodoro timer, wrote over 600 lines of frontend code, completed installation and execution, all within 5 minutes and 24 seconds. DeepSeek also published prompts for 7 demo cases. Some outputs were refined through multi-round conversations, so a single input sentence may not directly yield identical results.
