August 25 news, according to GitHub, Ethereum developer kevaundray has submitted EIP-12235 proposal, suggesting the introduction of a "post-quantum ready deposit contract" to add quantum attack resistance to the Ethereum validator deposit contract. The proposal intends to support variable-length validator deposits and introduce an irreversible BLS exit mode. The proposal is currently in draft stage, with the EIP number assigned as 8394, pending editor review. kevaundray commented that they are awaiting feedback on EIP-7251, 8282, and 7002 to determine the final approach.
