Five Suspects Arrested in France's Haute-Savoie Crypto Extortion Kidnapping Case

PANews reported on September 17, according to the French National Gendarmerie, police arrested five suspects between September 7 and 8 in the Paris region, Isère, and Brittany for involvement in a crypto asset kidnapping and extortion case. The case originated in March when a woman was forcibly entered into her home, tied up, beaten, and pressured to reveal purported crypto assets. Four of the five have been indicted, with three in pretrial detention, and the investigation continues.
